Questions To Ask A Date

So you are going to be with a date this weekend. What are you going to talk about while you are together? You have to have some fun conversation going on to have a good time.

You can’t just sit there and not say anything. Conversation is a form of communicating by trading bits of information with another person.

You can have deeply-serious conversations or light-hearted ones. Both of you could share your inner most secrets or just tell jokes.

This is all part of getting to know each other. If you don’t discuss your lives with each other, your relationship will not be very fulfilling.

But sometimes the conversation can come to a halt and you are stuck for something to talk about. If this happens it is good to know how to get the conversation going again.

An easy way to stimulate a conversation is through asking some questions. This way you can learn how your date’s mind works, his values, and likes or dislikes.

Keep the questions fun though. Do you need some help in know what these questions should be though?

Here you will find some questions that might be good to ask on your date.

Questions To Ask A Date:

1. If you invented a flavor of ice cream what would it be? What ingredients would be in it? This is just for laughs.

2. Would you describe yourself as beer, whiskey, or champagne if you were an alcoholic beverage? The answer to this question will show your date’s personality.

3. Do you have a spiritual nature? Do you mind discussing your beliefs? Be willing to accept whatever answer you get on this one without arguing.

4. Is your perfect day just curled up in front of the TV watching sports or a movie, or do you like to be active and would rather go hiking, participate in sports, and other activities like that? If you like sports which ones do you like to watch or play?

5. Are you addicted to your computer or is it just for work? If you are addicted what do you do with it?

6. Do you have an easy time letting people into your life, or are you a person that is hard to get to know? Do you fear people will find out too much about you?

7. Do you love to be outdoors or do the bugs creep you out? Do you like to camp, fish, and other outdoor activities? You can find out if you have these things in common by asking this question.

8. Would you like to be wealthy one day and be able to travel anywhere in the world? If yes, where would you like to visit?

9. Do you like to go mountain biking? If so where to you go to enjoy doing it?

10. When you go out to eat do you eat seafood, Italian food, Asian cuisine, or are you a cheapskate and just do fast food? Which restaurants do you go to a lot and why? This will let you know if your taste in foods are close.

11. What do you think about visiting art museums or book readings for a date? If you like these things this will be important for you to share with a date.

12. Do you believe in premarital sex or are you for abstinence? If for abstinence, is this because of personal preferences or religious beliefs?

13. Have you ever had to face a severe tragedy in your life? How did you get through it?

14. What is the most valuable lesson you have ever learned in your life? This one tells a lot of a person’s character.

15. What is your idea of the perfect vacation? Where would you like to go on one that you have not been to? You may agree on this one, you may not.

16. Do you like science fiction or do you have a hard time with the concept of it? Tells about the imagination.

17. Do you know your family’s history and heritage, or are you just here and know nothing about where you came from? It is fun to know about such things.

These are only some of the things that can be discussed with a date. As you get more serious your questions will get more serious too. You will dig deeper and deeper into each other’s lives.

Questions To Ask On A Date

It is always so tricky to get to know a person that you are dating. You need to have things to talk about together if you are really going to enjoy a date.

However, when you have not known each other for long this can be hard. The fact is you don’t know what to talk about many times.

A great way to solve this is to make up some questions to use to keep the conversation going.

When there is a hush that falls between you and your date ask a question that takes an involved answer, not just yes or no.

The right questions and can begin a very enjoyable two-way conversation.

The exchange of thoughts, ideas and facts about your lives helps you know each other on a more intimate level.

This does not mean you carry around a list of questions in paper form.

Just have the questions in your mind to draw from during the date.

Questions To Ask On A Date:

1. Where do you want your life to be in 20 years? This should provoke an in-depth answer. You can also explain where you see your own in 2 years. This is a good conversation starter.

2. What stresses do you have in your job that you would like to see change? This is something else that you can share about your life too.

3. Have you ever had a life threatening disease? If so, what was it and how did you get through it? This is another question that requires a detailed answer.

4. What kind of exercise do you like to do, working out or do an activity? What benefits do you get from this?

5. What role does money play in your life? Do you think money is everything, or do you just want enough to pay your bills?

6. Do you think the experts are right about global warming? If you don’t agree with them do you have a theory on this global warming?

7. Should we explore space or do we need to find out more about what is right here on earth? Do you think that life exists on other planets? This could lead to some interesting thoughts being exchange.

8. Have you ever had a scary experience? If so, what happened that scared you? Guys may not want to admit they were scared of anything though.

9. What foods do you like to cook for yourself when you are just relaxing at home? You may find that you have similar taste food.

10. What do you think about all the new technologies that are coming out today? Do you own any of it? If you both are techies, this could spark a real lengthy conversation.

11. How much do you know about computers? Are you just an Internet surfer or can you actually redo your computer when it crashes?

12. If you watch football regularly, do you understand the game well enough to teach it to me? If you answer yes to this then what are the first things I need to know about the game to understand it?

13. If you were cut off from civilization, what items would you hope to have with you? Think of your answer to this question too so you can discuss it.

14. What is the meaning of love for you? How important do you feel love is in a person’s overall health? It is important to know this about people you date.

15. Would you ever go on a talk show and uncover your life to so many people, or do you like to keep your dirty laundry to yourself? Why are you this way regardless of what you have answered to this question?

16. What value do you place on friendship? Do you keep your friends for a long time? If yes, what has it taken to keep these friendships going?

17. Is there anything that you would like to ask me? You are just being polite by asking this but it could lead to some interesting facts being discovered.

These questions might be just what you need to keep your conversation lively between both of you during your date. Of course, hopefully you will think up some of your own.

Try to make sure that the questions need a conversational-type answer. Remember that you are trying to get the conversation going and keep it going.

Your date is to have fun and you need to remember that with these questions. Stay away from too controversial of subjects.

Questions To Ask On A First Date

Oh my! You have a first date with someone this weekend! You are probably quit excited and nervous at the same time. Are you wondering what your conversation will be like? Or… what are you going to wear?

It is hard talking to someone you have just started dating. Most of the time you don’t know each other well enough to know what subject to talk about.

And easy solution to this is to make a list of questions at least in your head. Make the questions fun and casual for the first date. They should not be too invasive at this point.

Just touch on the type of things that will let you in a bit on the other person’s personality. Below is a list of possible questions you can ask on your first date.

Questions To Ask On A First Date:

1. If you don’t know already ask them what part of town they live in? Maybe they live near you.

2. Where do you work or go to school? If they are working ask them what their duties are at work. If they are in college also ask what they are majoring in.

3. What style of music do you enjoy listening and who is your favorite band or artist? This will show you whether you can listen to music together.

4. Do you like animals and do you have a pet? This shows if a person has a heart.

5. What sports do you like to participate in? Have you ever played them on a collegiate level? Would you like to go pro with any of them?

6. Do you like high-calorie foods or are you constantly counting calories? This may dictate where you can go out to eat for meals.

7. Do you have a bad temper or does it take a lot to get you mad? It is important to know someone’s temperament from the beginning of the relationship.

8. Do you have any allergies I need to know about like colognes or foods? You would not want to wear a scent of colognes that sent them into an allergic reaction. You also would not want to serve them food they were allergic to.

9. Do you like to go to the lake, camping, fishing, swimming, or other outdoor-type activities? This could expand the kinds of dates you could have in the future if you decide to keep seeing each other.

10. What new movies have you seen lately that you like? Any you did not like seeing?

11. Do you like video games or are you a computer addict? This again, maybe something both of you have in common.

12. Have you ever been mountain climbing? If so which mountain and up to what altitude? This is just a fun question to ask.

13. Have you ever wanted to parachute out of a plane? This will tell how daring they are.

14. Are you curious about my likes and dislikes?

These are just a few of the questions you can ask on a first date. You will most likely come up with many of your own. Just remember to keep it light and fun so you can enjoy exchanging information.

Don’t make it sound like the other person is on the hot seat! This will make them feel uncomfortable. Most of all have a great time on your first date.
